Class outing

SCMC had a class outing today, 31 July at Bishan Pizza Hut! Though not all turned up, all of us still enjoyed ourselves throughout the whole trip. This is the first outing that SCMC had and will be having a second soon!

The events team have worked hard to prepare for the exercise today. They have to go to the rooms to arrange the tables straight away after they arrived in school. The exercise today is for 'O'level and ITE students to register for a interview date with the teachers.

Verify of resources in NYP

On 23 Jul, our portal team went to body watch gym to verify all the resources in the gym to make sure that there was no loss of equipments. They have to stock take every piece of equipment in the gym and to find out the number of loss equipment in the gym. It must been a tiring yet interesting found by the portal team.






Visit by Jubail Industrial College

SCMC is proud to receive visitors from the Jubail Industrial College today. Mr Ong was there to receive the guests by introducing our class before passing it to our president for further explanation. After that, the visitors went on to each individual team to learn more about their operations.

Birthday Celebration

SCMC Round 2 held the first birthday celebration today! We invited all our alumni over to celebrate with us and to meet up with Mr Fong again. Everyone was happy to see their old friends and the familiar environment they had been for the past nine weeks.

Results for Fedex Competition

On last Saturday, the Fedex team went on to compete for the top three position. The team had worked hard and been through many rehearsals for the final presentation. However, the other finalists for the competition were also strong competitors with much experience on presentation skills. Our team did not get into the top three position but was good enough to clinch the top six position. Thank you for your hard work and commiment Hidayah and Pras.

The top 3 teams for the competition was the 2 teams(Team 27 & 36) from Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and Team 34 from Temasek Polytechnic. Their ideas were DreamBags, Vending Machines Selling Pet Supplies and Thermal Jackets respectively. We wish them all the best in the competition !


Body Watch Session

Finally the long awaited event! The events team had organised for SCMC to visit the body gym as one of the field trips. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the gym instructors who greeted us passionately and brought us around the gym, introducing the usage of the gym equipments. Straight after that, SCMC started on the bonding games. And the main point of the day is here:)

After the introduction, the bonding games starts. First game was wecko, followed by 2 true and 1 lie, followed by pictionary and finally do you love your neighbours.

Presentation of Project Charter

After working through long nights for the past week, we are to present the Project Charter on Cheers to Mr Fong today. Project Charter shows the main point that we have for Cheers. It is like a guideline for us because through the project charter, we are able to point out any concern for the whole project, like the allocation of manpower.

SCMC is honoured to have visitors from Hong Kong with us today. Mr Fong started off with the presentation on how our centre works, followed by our vice-president further elaborating on the operations of the centre.
